Understanding the WPPulse score

WPPulse calculates four scores (0-100) and an overall score. Here is how each score is calculated and what it measures.

Understanding the calculation helps you understand which actions improve your score the most.

How to fix

  1. 1

    Security score

    Calculated by deducting points per issue: -20 per CRITICAL vulnerability, -10 per HIGH, -5 per MEDIUM, -2 per LOW. Plus missing headers, invalid SSL, exposed files.

    Performance score

    Corresponds to the Lighthouse Performance score from Google PageSpeed Insights (mobile version). It is a composite score weighting FCP (10%), LCP (25%), TBT (30%), CLS (15%), Speed Index (10%), TTI (10%).

  3. 3

    Accessibility score

    Lighthouse Accessibility score. Based on automatable WCAG audits: contrast, labels, ARIA, structure.

  4. 4

    SEO score

    Lighthouse SEO score combined with our on-page analysis (title, H1, canonical, robots.txt, sitemap, OG tags).
